That’s a beautiful number, 2010. So was the acting this year, and I am looking forward to writing about it here, at Hollywood Oscar Prep.

Hope you are ready to focus once again on the acting categories, and the great performances of this past year, in film.
Have you noticed? There are more Oscar Pundits, Oscar Sites, and Oscarologists, this year, than inhabitants on the island of Haiti…
So I think what I will do…

Viola Davis shows everything, in her character-restraining way of showing practically nothing.
She is calm, and direct, and holds back with the dignity of a black woman who is confronted, unexpectedly; and yet is able to maintain composure. All the while, letting us, the audience, get a sense of her whole life. All the burdens she experiences.
