According to Los Angeles Mag’s February 2009 Issue, It’s True, Anyway…
It says, on the very back page; in the final little blurb that a CPA named Tony Knapp, listed nine million dollars, for Sean Penn’s”Gay Lessons”, in ‘Milk’.
At first I thought that this was perhaps Penn’s personal accountant, and this was a tax write off type of thing.
No, it appears to be part of a list about mentionable, “below the line” crew people; of all interesting kinds and of all different functions/talents.
Therefore, that would make Mr. Knapp a film accountant. I’m guessing.
I would check it, but this is kinda in the gossip category, and since that’s not my thing, I’ll just leave this as is. So why put it at all?
I don’t think it’s harming anyone, because neither Mr. Knapp, nor Mr.Penn, seem responsible for it–rather, it seems more, to me, that it’s just one of those Hollywood-runaway-train type of examples.
…Spending galore, on many films…
…Social life situations here too, when ya hear about this-or-that…
As kooky as so much EX-cess Hollywood can seem…I don’t know…This one just administers a bit of a jolt.
Something ’bout, it’s simplicity of description.
Doesn’t it?
